Algebra 2 +

This course is offered as an exploration of some significant algebraic concepts found primarily within Algebra 2. Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus curricula have more concepts than what is being highlighted here. However, I selected the essential content for your student based on my knowledge of higher level math courses as well as the math concepts that I know show up on the ACT & SAT tests.

This course can be used as a stand alone class, to prepare for the ACT &/or SAT test, or to supplement any Algebra or Pre-Calculus course.

Suggested Audience

This course is based on Algebra 2 usually taken in the 11th grade. If you are preparing for an ACT or SAT test, most of the material in this course is important for you to understand in order to excel on the math portions of either test!

Requirements

Algebra I and Geometry

I also recommend a good graphing calculator. A TI-83+ or TI-84 is best to be familar with if you're preparing for the ACT or SAT, as that's what you'll be allowed to use during the test. If you're not preparing for a standardized test, an inexpensive scientific calculator or a free graphing calculator app will suffice.
