Question about homeschool copyright

  Lillyan_1992 » Fri, 02 Oct 2020 16:40:41 PM

I'm weighing my options on homeschooling my daughter this year with an online program. I really like the Lernsys homeschooling program. I am wondering if any homeschooling mom or dad here on Lernsys knows the answer to this. I would really like to copy a few pages from a particular Earth and space science book that has a lot of Earth and space science curriculum for eighth grade so I can homeschool my daughter. Do I need to get copyright or trademark permission from the author to do this? All recommendations are welcome!

Hey.study I think you are permitted by law to copy up to 10% as long as it is for teaching and not for commercial purposes.

Welcome to the group!homeschool-placer I think it's ok but maybe you should check with the publisher. Overall, we are very happy with the Lernsys program. We are very happy with the courses.

Hi!homeschool-placer If it's for teaching, scholarship or research, you should be OK. I believe it's allowed.
