Course Description

Grade 8 Math Course. This complete math course is aligned with Common Core 8th Grade Mathematics standards. This course provides the final step in laying the foundation required for high school mathematics material, honing computational skills and priming the bridge towards more abstract concepts seen in Algebra. This course is unique in providing step-by-step instructions and a gradual release of the cognitive load of the mathematical work to the student as the lesson progresses into practice.

Course Goals

Upon course completion, students will be prepared to move on to high school level mathematics courses, including Algebra and Geometry.

Target Audience

This video-course is primarily intended for Grade 8 students (typically ages 13+) and Grade 9 students who may need to review previously taught concepts. The difficultly level of this course is medium.

Course Requirements

Students taking this course are expected to have satisfactorily understood and mastered the most important topics taught in a standard Grade 7 Math Course. Students should be comfortable performing computations with rational numbers.
