1 Types of Lines 05:39

This lesson is about the art element called line.  Students will learn about different types of lines and practice drawing them.

2 Line Design 07:30

In this lesson students will create a line design using their knowledge of lines.

This lesson is about the lines that leaves have.  Students will draw leaves in white crayon and then add watercolor.

4 Marble Painting 05:31

Did you know a marble can draw a line?  In this lesson students will learn how to paint with marbles to draw lines. They will also learn about artist Jackson Pollock.

In this lesson students will learn how to draw a cactus using lines.  Students will do it in the artist Romero Britto style.

9 Shape Robots 08:40

In this lesson students will create a shape robot using shapes cut out of construction paper.

10 Cat Shapes 11:38

In this lesson students wil learn how to draw a cat.  There will be a special guest to help teach shapes. Students will also learn about the cats that artist Laural Burch creates.

In this lesson students will learn about Vincent Van Gogh and his poppy paintings.  Students will create a picture of poppies using construction paper cut into shapes.

Course Overview:

Art for Kidz is a friendly and engaging art course with an animal theme for Kinder-2nd grade. This course has 36 lessons covering 6 elements of art: line, shape, color, form, texture, and space. This course is separated into 6 lessons per art element.  Students will learn art vocabulary, art techniques, and famous artist. The lessons in this course will include an introduction and a demonstration video of the art projects.  Several times during the course there will be a special guest to help teach the art elements. Parents be sure to watch the videos with your kids because they may need help.

Course Goals:

Upon completion of this course students will have a good basic knowledge of the elements of art, giving them the ability to recognize these elements when they view or create artwork.  Students will also be able to use various art materials with confidence and enjoyment when they create their own artwork.
