Must I keep records of my homeschooling in California? Opinions on the Lernsys program and a particular homeschool California group are welcome too. Any feedback is appreciated.

It is mandated by law for homeschoolers in California to keep some records such as the completed private school affidavit, records of immunization or waivers, faculty qualifications as well as their addresses, courses taught, and student attendance. It is also highly advisable and deemed valuable to create a homeschooling record of your child’s progress for each grade. This information is crucial when it comes to developing a high school transcript for universities or career needs or in case the homeschooler needs to return to school for any reason.
As a parent, you may want to consider maintaining a record of these:
• For any standardized examinations taken, keep record of the scores
• The subject work undertaken at each grade level
• Other attainments of the student including extracurricular activities the student participated in
• Any volunteer work the student spent while homeschooling
• The grades by subject received by the student
