Hi Yes. You can do homeschooling in Walker County, Texas, however, make sure you follow the steps required to homeschool in Walker County, Texas. Homeschooling in Texas is deemed to be one of the best states to homeschool in the United States as it requires very little government regulations. Parents in Texas are at liberty to have control over most of the items they deem fit for their student to study. A parent or guardian homeschooling their student at home is not required by law to be licensed as a teacher in Texas. Nevertheless, using curriculum developed by a state certified teacher is highly recommended even if the certified educator is not a Texas teacher.
