Question about accreditted physical education course

  Zyair1983 » Tue, 15 Sep 2020 20:32:41 PM

Hi,emoji-cool Since we are in Texas, does any other parent know if it's better to use a curriculum based on Texas's curriculum, or one that is accredited at the national level? We need help with physical education. Any comments about this?

Hi!emoji-cool Our own experience searching for curriculum based on Texas's curriculum was that because most states use common core standards, that it is also a good option to study with a parent led physical education course based on a nationally accredited physical education curriculum or any other state.

I would advise using an accredited homeschool physical education curriculum by a certified teacher instead of a curriculum created by anyone, look at some of the physical education lessons here: physical education home-schooling course and online courses. We have had a great experience so far with the Lernsys program.

We homeschool in Texas and I can tell you that you probably want to consider either a nationally recognized physical education homeschool program or a secular physical education course developed by a state accredited physical education teacher. This will give your child more options down the road.
