Homeschool question. Need guidance!

We have been paying for private tutoring but the cost is simply too much. Is the parent homeschooling the student required to be licensed as a teacher in Illinois? Any comments about this?

Hey there,
Yes, you are allowed to homeschool your kid in McHenry, Illinois. There is no requirement in Illinois that you need to be a licensed teacher. This links to a Illinois homeschool page with useful information on homeschool regulations in Illinois:
