Welcome, I think you may want to also review creative writing courses that are accredited at the national level instead than being based on Illinois's curriculum. Most students end up applying to many colleges including out of state. You can see some creative writing lessons here: creative writing course and curriculum. It doesn't need to be specific to Illinois.
