I am a pretty new homeschooling parent trying to get some recommendations. I am thinking of making copies of a handful of pages from a Spanish 1 book for coding curriculum I need for 5th grade. Do I actually need to get copyright or trademark permission from the author before I do this? Any help with this is appreciated!

I think you're allowed by law to copy up to 10% as long as it is for teaching and not for commercial purposes.
