Course Construction
Each video lessons is constructed in four sections:

1- Did you know?  (Establish Prior Knowledge)
Presents essential prior knowledge needed for each of the lessons.  Many students have a limited understanding of important base concepts.  Establishing essential prior knowledge makes for a foundation upon which more complex concepts can be constructed.

2- Why is this important?   (Establish Relevance)
Establishes relevance for the learning. Students want to know that the things that they are learning have relevance to their lives.  The helps claim the knowledge as their own and make the learning important to them.  This also serves as a preemptive set for previewing the content that will be presented.

3- What is Important  About _____ ?   (Learn Content)
The actual concept presentations. Presentations are in a slide show mode with narration and stunning visuals.  Pictures reinforce written material and are introduced to reinforce concepts for visual learners.  Each slide is numbered for reference in use with the accompanying video guide for each lesson.

4- Why is this important?             (Closure)
Re-teaching key concepts and reemphasizing relevance brings closure to the lesson and prepares students for the online assessment.  Directions are given for completion (complete the video guide and take the quiz) to close the lesson.
