Definitely, homeschooled children have the ability to have access to certain school services in Illinois. The public school system in Illinois is obligated by law to provide some services to students in Illinois. The individual school districts and schools get to decide this and you should contact them before May 1. These services may include: participating in events, groups, or athletics upon prior permission by the local school board to confirm obtainability. Upon approval by the local school board, the student is given permission to participate in extracurricular activities such as physical education, band and drivers ed which may be available in specific cities.
