What records are homeschoolers required to maintain in Illinois? It would be awesome if anyone who uses the Lernsys homeschooling program using the Lernsys home-school study program for geography for middle school or cursive writing can provide some feedback.

It is not required by law for homeschoolers in Illinois to keep records , notwithstanding this, it is deemed considerably helpful and valuable to create a homeschooling record for your child’s progress year to year. This information is crucial when it comes to developing a high school transcript for future college or career needs or in case the homeschooler needs to return to school down the road.
As a parent, you might want to consider things worth keeping record of. A couple of pointers for you:
• For any standardized assessments taken, keep record of the scores
• The subject topics undertaken at each grade level
• Other attainments of the student including extracurricular activities the student participated in
• Any volunteer service the student performed while homeschooling
• The grades by subject achieved by the student
This page lists very helpful details on Illinois homeschool laws and regulations:
