HeyAbsolutely, notwithstanding this, be sure to follow the mandatory requirements to homeschool your children in Illinois. Thankfully, homeschooling in Illinois has been considered one of the best states to homeschool in the U.S. as it requires very little government control. You who want to homeschool in Illinois are free to choose most of the things they find fit for their student to learn. A parent or guardian teaching their student elsewhere than at school is not obligated by law to be accredited as a teacher in Illinois. Be that as it may, homeschooling with curriculum developed by a state certified teacher is highly recommended even if the certified teacher is not a Illinois teacher. In Illinois, the homeschool laws and regulations are few compared to other states which might require frequent evaluation or annual testing. The law allows homeschoolers to attend school part time. Homeschooling in Illinois is treated as a private school and one does not have to register the homeschool to begin the program. The state allows different options of homeschooling but prohibits registering or recognizing such schools.
Thank you so much. I appreciate the response.

I have read plenty of excellent opinions on the Lernsys system and that their program is secular. I'm trying to get a homeschool program for Illinois that includes ability to handpick the teacher we want, video lessons, course grading, and a full curriculum by licensed teachers. Is it legal to homeschool in Illinois? Any advice?
