Can elementary school students in Texas be homeschooled? If anybody can provide any opinions on the program and any specific Texas homeschool group I would be very thankful. I would appreciate any home-schooling ideas you can give.

Yes. You can engage in homeschooling in Texas. It is permitted. You just need to observe the Texas required steps to homeschool your children in Texas. Homeschooling in Texas is deemed to be one of the best places to homeschool in the United States as it requires very little government control. Parents in Texas are able to decide many of the things they find fit for their homeschooler to learn. A parent or guardian teaching their homeschooler elsewhere than at school is not required by law to be licensed as a teacher in Texas. Nevertheless, homeschooling with curriculum developed by a state licensed teacher is highly recommended even if the licensed educator is not a Texas teacher.
